It’s time to talk about some of our favorite games of 2012! Craig, Seth and Chris reminisce over about 30 of the titles they enjoyed most from last year, as well as discuss Pandora’s Tower, Sony’s free PlayStation Mobile game promotion, Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon multiplayer and more. This week, the guys have been playing DmC: Devil May Cry, Anarchy Reigns, FarCry 3, Style Savvy: Trendsetters, the Fire Emblem: Awakening demo and The Walking Dead.
Tune in for a chance to win Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch for PlayStation 3!

Well…I haven’t seen many Ghibli films…but I’m a big fan of Howl’s Moving Castle. It’s just so damn pretty to look at. My favorite Level 5 game is probably Professor Layton and the Unwound Future.
I don’t mind interacting through Facebook. It makes the most sense to me.
Great episode, you guys. Here’s to another good year for the 3DS!
Thanks for the contest, Seth!
My favorite Level-5 game is Dark Cloud.
My favorite Studio Ghibli film is Princess Mononoke.
Thanks again, and I love your podcast!
Oh hey, the comments roll over to a new page after 50 posts. That’s crazy.
Wow, Seth, you’re quite the nice guy throwing in the steel book too.
My favorite Level-5 game is currently Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box. I’m still playing through the others, but this series might be my favorite DS franchise. And that damn credits theme (Iris). I’d be lying if I said I didn’t get emotional every time I hear it.
I haven’t seen too many Studio Ghibli films, but of the ones I’ve seen Princess Mononoke is definitely my favorite, with Spirited Away a close second.
As for the feedback, I probably prefer Facebook, just cause I’m on it a lot more and it’s easier to see/remember, but it doesn’t really make that much of a difference. Maybe you could shake it up and use Twitter instead. I’m on there the most.
Also, just to throw it out there, my favorite games of 2012 were Journey, Lollipop Chainsaw, The Last Story, and TheatRhythm: Final Fantasy.
I am a huge fan of the Professor Layton games from Level-5. I haven’t seem many Studio Ghibli films but Ni No Kuni looks like an incredible game! I haven’t played a good RPG in a while either, and the art style and gameplay look top notch. Maybe it can wash the Final Fantasy XIII taste out of my mouth.
I like the cut of this Seth guy’s jib.
Anyways, Castle in the Sky for me, with Porco Rosso coming in second and the other two boring Ghibli films that I’ve seen (Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away) coming in a far away 9000th. As for my favorite Level-5 game, I think the only one I’ve played was Dragon Quest VIII, but it was pretty damn good.
Cool contest. My favorite Level 5 game is currently Rogue Galaxy but will probably be Ni No Kuni after I play it. Favorite Ghibili movie is hard to say… kind of a toss-up between Nausicaa and Castle In The Sky (or Laputa). I guess this wasn’t a very specific answer but oh well.
Hey guys, nice podcast, you are doing a great job
. For the competition, i like Princess Mononoke and Jeanne d’Arc on the PSP. Thanks Seth for your big generosity.
My favorite is studio ghibli film is Spirited Away! Can’t wait for this game, thanks!
fav level 5 game is dark cloud because its the only one i have played though i have PL game sealed but have yet to play it
Ni No Kuni looks interesting and even if i dont win it i will buy it anyway
It is very difficult to choose a favourite Level 5 game! I think I will have to go with Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King, but the Professor Layton games are a very close second. Very close.
My favourite Studio Ghibli is My Neighbor Totoro. Too cute.
Thanks for the comp, Seth. ^_^
Lastly, I think the Facebook interactions for listener feedback is nice and easy.
My favourite Ghibli movie is probably Totoro. As for the Level-5 game I’m going to say Jeanne D’Arc.
For the Level-5 game I’m going to say Layton and the Curious Village, mainly for being the first. As for a Ghibli film Spirited Away is always a good choice.
Thanks for the contest.
My favorite Ghibli movie has to be Pom Poko. So many great movies from their studio, but who doesn’t want raccoon dogs with magical balls causing mischief?
Favorite Level-5 game is tough, but I have to go with Dark Cloud barely eeking out Professor Layton. I love the crafting system in the game and the Mr. Bill looking slingshot.
@Craig: Gotta go with that Facebook. Twitter linked to FB is probably the best. I like your site a lot, but you’ll get the most participation from me personally on facebook.
My favorite Ghibli film is probably Grave of the Fireflies because it is based on real events. As for level 5 games, i only played a few but i think Dragon Quest 9 is pretty cool.
Hey guys, hope i’m not late to the contest. My favourite ghibli film and probably my favourite animated movie of all time is My Neighbor Totoro. The Level-5 games i like the most is the Layton series because i like the charecter design and the art of the game a lot. Thanks for the opportunity of winning my most anticipated game in a while
.
My fave Level5 game is White Knight Chronicles, I’ve spent many hours on that one. As for ghibli films i think i can proudly say that watched them all and i love Princess Mononoke. I really have high expectations for Ni no Kuni, i think i’ll enjoy it a lot
My favorite Level-5 game is Dark Cloud. My favorite Studio Ghibli film is Princess Mononoke. and awesome podcast keep up the good work
First of, I want you guys to do this stuff on the site because I don´t sign up on Facebook because of how they handle the data of their user.
So now to answer the question my favorite Ghibli movie is Spirited Away because it was the first Ghibli movie and the first anime movie I have watched and it kinda started my anime addiction. The other movies are all really good but they just can´t life up to it.
Keep up the good work,
Marulu

Alright, I’m closing the giveaway right here. If you didn’t make it before this comment, I’m sorry. Thanks to everyone for listening to our podcast!
Seth is running the gate.
Damn….I was too late
No matter, loved the podcast btw, lots of great conversation about some of my favorite games of 2012. I’m so glad you guys mentioned New SMB 2, since I feel that is one of the best Mario games since Mario Galaxy.
Anyways, I still wanna mention my favorites anyway:
Fave Level 5 game is Dragon Quest VIII and my fave Ghibli movie is Princess Mononoke (closely followed by Nausicaa).
I’d prefer info on the site or on Twitter (since Craig is on there a lot). Facebook I visit rarely.
My favourite Ghibli movie would have to be spirited away.
As far as feedback goes I don’t have a Facebook account or a twitter account (and I am not going to get one anytime soon.) so I can only communicate with you guys through the site.
