For fans of old school beat’em ups like Double Dragon or Streets Rage, Spyborgs on the Wii is definitely one to look into! While it’s rather straightforward and simple like its forerunners, Spyborgs is an incredibly inexpensive game, often retailing for about $10 or $15 new. It’s a meager asking price for a game full of retro-styled ass-whoopin’.
You’ll have your choice of three heroes, and if you’re playing single player, the choice of an AI partner. Spyborgs also supports full two player co-op. As you progress through the increasingly difficult levels, you’ll find hidden objects and collect experience points to increase the effectiveness of your characters. There are some light motion-based controls, but they are regulated to special moves, and are quite responsive just the same.
Between its low entry fee and old school mechanics, Spyborgs is a lot of fun on the cheap. It’s not a game that will echo through the ages, but it’s definitely worth a few romps through the campaign with a friend.

For only $10 bucks I might have to pick this one up! I bet I could have some fun playing through the co-op.
Can’t beat 10$.
I had a similar reaction when I saw Lost Planet on Steam for $5. I would never pay full price for it, but I enjoyed it quite a bit. Definitely worth the fiver (although it made me want to buy the sequel,…)
