Several blogs are reporting/reposting the news that Nintendo’s Metroid Prime Trilogy for the Wii is no longer being shipped or printed. Nintendo told the blog Coffee with Games, “When first introduced, it was announced that there would be limited availability. However, a reason for this was not announced. That being said, you may still be able to locate a copy via stores that specialize in previously played or used games.”
The title is out of stock on the big online sites such as Amazon, Gamestop, Target, Walmart and Best Buy. Even when I made a trek out today to brick and mortar stores, I had to make several stops before purchasing one of two remaining copies at a local Target. If this is a title you’re even remotely interested in (and you should be remotely interested), now is the time to start your search. Supplies are already drying up.
As for me, I’m keeping my copy sealed.

I say who cares? From what I hear about the ports, I still have the better versions of the two GCN MP titles. I don’t care about using the Wii remote to control Samus and interact. And the fact that certain effects were taken out of the game and sequence breaking glitches are fixed, why pick up the Wii version of the two?
Well I just went out and got this today. I hope you’re happy that I bought my first full-priced game in years due to you! I’m not upset though as it is the highest quality game that I have seen to date (physically). I’ve never played a Metroid game so this package was made for me.
And yes, it does seem that they are drying up as the copy I bought was the 3rd last one at Walmart.
