Square Enix’s Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers for the Wii features a unique element I wish more games would incorporate: photography. By simply pressing the 2 Button on the Wii remote, players can instantly take a screenshot at any point in the game and save it to an SD card. The photos can then be viewed using the Wii’s Photo Channel, posted to the Wii’s Bulletin Board, or taken off the SD card and copied to a PC.
I’ve compiled a few of my favorite photos I’ve taken during my time with the game, mostly to showcase the game’s beautiful locales. The Crystal Bearers is actually a very good looking game, held back only by the Wii’s 480p max output resolution. There’s very little in the way of spoilers here, it’s mostly just different areas in the game, so feel free to take a look. Keep an eye out for nods to past Crystal Chronicles games –The Crystal Bearers is littered with them!

If you haven’t already, be sure to watch my video review for Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers.

This game looks absolutely amazing. A Truly beautiful final fantasy.
The second to last picture is of one of my favorite areas in the whole game. Partly because I discovered it on my own simply by heading to a fence in the Lett Highlands and jumping over it. I wasn’t sure if it would be an invisible wall or what, but when it took me to that side river, I was taken by surprise.
